of 2021, which has become a landmark for our festival and for Azerbaijani animation in general.
The echo of the IV ANIMAFILM International Animation Festival in Sheki was held on November 23-25, 2021. The event took
place at the ASAN Service Center of Sheki. During three days, the festival showed the best local and foreign animated films for children and adults.
Winners of Animated Film Project Pitching Workshop were announced on November 13, 2021 at the First International Animation Conference in Georgia.
Project “The Last Feather” of Azerbaijani participants Firangiz Baghirova and Leyli Salayeva won the competition, which grants them with one-month Residency Program in Fontevraud (France) in 2022.
9 Georgian and 1 Azerbaijani animated film projects wire participating in 5-day workshop, which took place in Tbilisi from November 8th to 12th, 2021.
ANIMAFILM International Animation Festival is joining the 7th Animated Film Project Development/Pitching workshop
organised by Annecy International Animated Film Festival, Film Center Georgian Film-Abkhazeti, Film Studio Kvali
XXI and Saqanima Georgian Animation Association, with the support of Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan, Georgian
National Film Center and Tbilisi City Hall.
IV ANIMAFILM International Animation Festival was held in Baku on September 3-7, 2021. Over 200 animated films from 40 countries were screened for children and adults during 5 days. This year the festival's theme was dedicated to people with disabilities.

The selection committee of the IV ANIMAFILM International Animation Festival announces the list works that are included in the competition program.
All films and screenplays will be evaluated by an International Jury and winners will be announced at opening and closing ceremonies of the 4th ANIMAFILM Festival.
An award for category "Best Azerbaijani Short Animated Film" is offered by ANIMAFILM Festival in cooperation with the French Embassy in Azerbaijan, the French Institute in Azerbaijan (IFA) and with the support of the Annecy International Animation Film Festival.
This year's winner of this category will have a chance to attend in 2022 Annecy Festival in France and receive professional MIFA accreditation. Trip to Annecy, France (flights and accommodation) for the winner will be offered by IFA.
Azerbaijan was represented at the biggest and oldest animation festival in the world - Annecy International Animation Film Festival. The 45th edition of famous festival took place from 14th to 19th of June, 2021.
Azerbaijan was represented by the director of ANIMAFILM Festival Rashid Aghamaliyev, the winner of 3rd ANIMAFILM Festival Fidan Akhundova and director Durna Safarova.
